Order, Payment, and Cancellation Terms

1. Pricing and Payment Terms
The price per unit is CHF 6,420.00, excluding shipping and taxes.
FedEx shipping fee of CHF 230.00 applies worldwide.

For deliveries within Switzerland, the statutory Swiss VAT (Mehrwertsteuer) of 8.1% will be added to the total invoice amount (product + shipping).

The standard payment model is as follows
50% prepayment upon order placement.
50% final payment before delivery.

Payments shall be processed via Stripe.com or Payrexx.com. All bank charges or payment processing fees must be borne by the customer.

2. Duties, Taxes, and Import Regulations
For deliveries outside Switzerland, no Swiss VAT will be charged. The customer is solely responsible for compliance with import regulations in their country, including the payment of: Local VAT or sales tax and Customs duties. Any other applicable fees imposed by local authorities or customs.

3. Cancellation Policy

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of the conclusion of the contract, which occurs upon: Receipt of the order confirmation via email Receipt of the initial prepayment (50%) Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to sales@mechanik2.com within this 24-hour period. The burden of proof that the cancellation was submitted on time lies with the customer (e.g., email timestamp).

4. Refunds and Fees For cancellations received within the 24-hour cancellation window: A handling fee of CHF 320 will be charged and deducted from the refund. Payment provider fees (e.g., Stripe transaction costs) and any exchange rate losses are non-refundable and shall be borne by the customer. Cancellations received after 24 hours from the conclusion of the contract will not be accepted, and no refund will be issued.

Prices, Taxes, and Additional Fees
All prices quoted in our online store do not include costs for, customs duties, handling fees, or bank transfer charges. Where applicable, statutory value-added tax (VAT) will be calculated separately. Sales, use, or other taxes vary depending on the shipping location. 

Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are not listed on the individual product pages. Instead, all applicable shipping fees and any additional costs (e.g., for express delivery or gift wrapping) will be aggregated and clearly displayed in your order form after you have selected your delivery option, just before you confirm and place your order.

Shipping Restrictions

Delivery and Personal Handover
Within Switzerland: Upon request, I will deliver your watch to you in person.

International Orders:
Your watch will be shipped securely via FedEx. Alternatively, customers from around the world are warmly invited to pick up their timepiece in person at our headquarters in Grenchen, Switzerland, once they have received confirmation that their order is ready for collection.

Care Instructions and Limitation of Liability for Water Exposure – Mechanik2 Watch
Thank you for choosing a Mechanik2 timepiece, a precision instrument crafted with exceptional care. To ensure the quality, durability, and functionality of your watch remain intact, please adhere strictly to the following usage guidelines.

1. Water Exposure
Unless explicitly specified as water-resistant in the product description or documentation, Water resistance: 50 meters (5 ATM). However, we recommend avoiding contact with water, including but not limited to:

Showering or bathing
Swimming (pools, lakes, ocean)
Rain or splashes
Water exposure will cause irreversible damage to mechanical/electronic components, seals, and finishes. No exceptions.

2. Customer Responsibility
You are fully responsible for using the watch per these instructions. Damage from misuse — especially water exposure — is not covered by warranty and voids all warranty claims worldwide.

3. Limitation of Liability
Christian Gafner GmbH / Mechanik Watches assumes NO liability under any circumstances for:

Damage from disregard of care instructions
Malfunctions, corrosion, or failure due to water ingress
Repair, replacement, or any costs related to water damage

The warranty covers only manufacturing defects under normal, dry conditions. It excludes ALL external factors, abuse, or unauthorized service. This applies globally without exception.

4. Maintaining Warranty To preserve warranty rights worldwide:

Follow all manufacturer guidelines
Never expose to water, steam, or high humidity
Do not open, service, or modify the watch yourself
