The professional watchmaker at EMBASSY Jewel AG in Lucerne brings many years of experience with the MIH Watch to the table. As a passionate freelance watchmaker and restorer with his own workshop, he worked closely with the engineer and designer on the Mechanik2 Annual Calendar watch. He is responsible for the assembly and maintenance of the Mechanik2 – just as he was for its predecessor, the MIH Watch.
Jérémy Freléchox

As a heart-and-soul mechanic and specialist in high-end watch development, with his own office in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, Jérémy brings mechanical systems in watch complications to the point. He finds his inspiration in nature, and especially in the Swiss Alps, where he can be found both summer and winter. In addition to the Mechanik2®, he developed the Vanguart black whole Tourbillon.
Christian Gafner
Founder / Industrial Designer
Christian started on the shop floor, not at a desk — an EFZ apprenticeship as a machinist, then years at the CNC and tool-making bench, long before industrial design gave shape to what his hands already understood.
As Head of Design at Porsche Design Timepieces and Eterna, then through his own studio, where he revived a heritage German sneaker brand, design roles followed. In 2020 he took over the rights to the MIH Watch, carrying its minimalist spirit forward, in 2021, he founded Christian Gafner GmbH.
Today, under his own name, he designs the Mechanik Timepieces.
